4/21/11: Indians vs. Royals

The Indians look to win their 4 game series versus the royals tonight.  Josh Tomlin gets the ball for the Tribe and he will face off against Sean O’Sullivan.  Yeah, I’ve never heard of him either.  Tomlin looks to improve his record to 4-0 and move the Indians to three games up in the AL Central division standings.  Pretty much the status quo for the lineups tonight, with the exception of Orlando Cabrera.  He’s getting his first day off of the season as Adam Everett will fill in for him tonight and bat 9th.

Also, Manny Acta is staying true to his word.  Carlos Santana is still locked in at the clean up spot in the order.  I think it’s the right move, even if Santana is struggling right now.  It’s not effecting the Indians ability to score runs and win games.  Why mess with a lineup that has produced the most runs in the American League to this point?  It makes no sense to move Sanatana right now.  If the entire team were struggling as a result then I’d say maybe.  In all honesty the entire situation is being blown out of proportion because of his three pitch strike out on Tuesday to end the game and his batting average, which can sky rocket back up towards .300 with a few solid games since it’s still early.  He’s shown he knows how to hit.  The Indians are better off letting it just happen.

The first pitch is for tonight’s game is scheduled for 8:10 pm.
